Observe the wildlife, ranging from hawks and bald eagles to seagulls, ducks and geese to the seals that sun bathe on the sandspit across the river.  There is even an occasional flock of pelicans that fish in the bay.

 

Stroll down the streets of Waldport for shopping opportunities, restaurants  and other services. Visit the Farmer’s Market Wednesdays and Saturdays during the summer. Participate in crabbing or clamming in the bay, fishing on the Alsea River or walk your dog on the beach. Enjoy our small and quiet park conveniently located in downtown Waldport, where come evening, the sidewalks are empty.

 

Use Handy Haven RV Park as a launch point to see local sites and attractions, like the Aquarium in South Beach, Nye Beach Turn-around, the  Newport Bayfront and Yaquina Head Lighthouse in Agate Beach, just to name a few. Turn south and visit shops and restaurants in Yachats and go on hikes around Cape Perpetua, visit Seal Lion Caves and Heceta Head Lighthouse south of Yachats and the Dunes in Florence.
